    For the past several years, Hawaiian real estate unit sales have dramatically increased, due mainly to lower prices, historically low interest rates, and a rekindled interest in the Aloha State from visitors seeking a "second home." During that time Hawaii real estate prices were still falling, although at a lesser rate than they had between 1994 and 1997. In early-2000, prices finally began to move upward again.
